Dundalk Art School Grand Opening/ Ribbon Cutting

On Sunday, August 20, Barbara Bustard, owner of the Dundalk Art School, celebrated the Grand Opening/ and Ribbon Cutting of her new business located at Poplar Place on Merritt Blvd. Dundalk Art School is a member of the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce.

To assist with the Ribbon cutting: L to R: Barbara Bustard-owner, Dawn Frazier-Chamber President, Senator Johnny Ray Salling and Delegate Ric Metzger.

Barbara was also given a Welcome Basket from the Chamber as well as the Chamber logo for her window.

Networking Event Held at the Crazy Tuna

The Dundalk Chamber joined forces with Chesapeake Gateway, Baltimore County Business Association, Middle River Rotary, Overlea Fullerton Business and Professional Assn. and Marine Trades Association of Balto. Co. for a Networking Event at the Crazy Tuna on August 3. The 6 associations collected school supplies for our local schools. Over 100 members enjoyed a buffet of finger food. The waterfront location event was inside and out. DJ Jon Boesche provided entertainment. The donations were divided equally among the associations as well as the cash donations. We would like to thank all who attended and donated to this worthy cause.

4th of July on a Stunning Float

The Dundalk Chamber of Commerce participated in the Dundalk 4th of July parade.

Thompson Automotive provided us with a snazzy Jeep Wrangler. Pat Gay-Chamber member, Dotty Cristy-Executive Director and Dawn Frazier-Chamber President decorated the vehicle for the parade. After the parade, we were notified we won 2nd place in the Decorated Vehicle Division and we received a Ribbon!

A BIG “Thank You” to Joe Lyons, of Thompson Automotive. With out you, we could not have won!!

Teacher’s Oscars Red Carpet Event

Thirteenth Annual Outstanding Teacher Awards, April 28, 2017, Hilton Garden Inn

Four outstanding teachers were chosen from 17 nominations. Over 100 attendees consisting of Chamber members, teachers, principals, co-workers and sponsors listened to the winning teachers’ Principals nomination remarks. The four winners, Hannah Douglas, Kevin Peck, Carol Reynolds and Dr. David Truscello received many gifts, a check and a trophy from the Dundalk Chamber. Local elected officials also presented the winners with Citation certificates.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade

On March 11, 2017 we celebrated Lá Fhéile Pádraig, “the Day of the Festival of Patrick” in honor of Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. There was an array of marching bands, floats and pipers to commemorate this festival day. The parade left Logan Village Shopping Center at 11:00 am and continued through the streets of Old Dundalk and The Dundalk Shopping Center. The Dundalk shopping center provided a great vantage point for viewing the parade.
